The Inviting Milton/Ulladulla Area

The Milton/Ulladulla district is located on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia, only a three hour drive from both Sydney and Canberra. The area is a major tourist destination for city-slickers and international travelers. They are lured by the beautiful beaches and relaxing atmosphere. The English explorer Captain Cook first saw Aboriginals Milton/Ulladulla shores in 1770, and the first white settler called Milton home in 1828. Ulladulla was known to the original natives as Nulladulla - meaning safe harbour. Today, the area still revolves around the harbor's fishing trade, but has exponentially grown. As of the 2006 census the area consisted of 16,411 residents, but this number almost doubles during the summer holiday season.
